The History of Moonbeams

Moonbeams first opened in June 2002 above Simply Shaker/Companion Pieces located just left of the firehouse on Argonne Avenue.  The space might have been small, but the store was a hit.

Then when the opportunity came to occupy the downstairs space because Simply Shaker/Companion Pieces were closing, Moonbeams made the big move down the stairs to the first floor of the building.  In March 2005, Moonbeams re-opened in the much bigger first floor space on Argonne Avenue.  

The increase in square footage meant that there was room for more products, a floral arrangement area, and even some office/storage space!  Everything was running smoothly until the ownership of the building that Moonbeams occupied changed hands.  Soon Moonbeams was on the move again.  This time the move was a little farther than just down the stairs but not by much. 

In February 2007, Moonbeams moved to its current location on 124 West Jefferson, and it is happily situated between Mike Duffy's and Amigos restaurants.

About Us

Debbie McCormac, the owner, is a creative individual that has a great instinct for superb decoration and design.  For many years, she has been using her skills as a seamstress, painter, and decorator to create custom pieces and spaces for her friends and family.  Since Moonbeams opened in 2002, she has invested a majority of her time and talent to the store and her customers although she still always finds the time and energy for her family and friends. 

Debbie, a St. Louis native, has been a long time resident of Glendale, Missouri.  She has a full life with a wonderful supportive husband, 4 kids, 4 adorable grandchildren, and 1 cat.
